About our Fee Policies & Fee Payments

Our programs have different payment cycles depending on the length, nature and complexity of the coaching engagement.

The payment cycle/frequency is usually confirmed by the instructor or by the student success team during the time of enrollment.

If your payment cycle requires a fixed payment after a certain number of days (such a quarterly or annual payments). The first payment amount is calculated based on the number of days between the date of enrollment and the first date of the nearest (quarter/six months).

Our automated CMS system calculates the quarters from the last day of the month when the final assessment concludes for the given academic year.

About our Engaging & Interactive Coaching Sessions

Coaching Sessions

Coaching sessions are usually held at the day and time communicated by the instructor.

In the event of any cancellation or rescheduling of a coaching session, the same shall be communicated by the instructor through a  telephone call or a WhatsApp message.

Leaners should ensure that they avoid missing any coaching sessions. However, in the event of absence they should perform the following steps:

  1. Check that Coaching Session Summary (sent on the email or uploaded to the Google Drive folder) for the web link of the recorded lecture
  2. Check the Coaching Session Summary for any homework assigned in class and upload it before the deadline
  3. Copy any missed notes from a friend
  4. Inform the teacher in the subsequent class about the absence
  5. Students should try and read the missed curriculum from their resource material and resolve any queries with the instructor in the subsequent class

We do not like to cancel our coaching sessions. However, there could be myriad sessions that could have lead to the cancellation of the classes. Students should perform the following steps:

  1. Inform the instructor about any last-minute assessments or homework announced in the school while the class was cancelled
  2. Send any teaching material sent in school to support@groedd.com

At GroEdd, we follow a ‘Time Balance Account Method’ to keep a record of any additional coaching (given in the form of extra classes and additional time given after class) or cancellation of classes by the instructor.  Parents & Children can know the updated time balance through the coaching session summary sent after every class.

Under the ‘Time Balance Account Method’, all additional coaching given by the instructor (in the form of extra class or extra time) is reflected as a positive number whereas any cancellation of class is reflected as a negative number in the coaching summary.

We also understand that children have several extra-curricular activities, therefore we try to ensure that most cancelled sessions are made up by a mix of additional time given at the end of a session or by having an extra class at a convenient time.

Note – Coaching Session cancelled due to following reasons will not be made up:

  • A request by the student, parent or a person from representing a student
  • Unavailability of the student (due to examination or extra-curricular activities)
  • Classes falling on the list of days notified as holidays(refer to the holiday list)

Homework

Parents and Children can know about the homework though:

  • The Coaching Session Summary

  • Google Classroom (Open the app, click on the three horizontal lines (located in the top left corner) and click on the section – ‘ To review’.)

Children are required to submit the homework in PDF format. They can use any app such as (Cam Scanner or Microsoft Lens or Adobe Scan) to create the PDF File.

If you are required to upload the homework to Google Classroom. Please view the tutorial given below

Recorded Lectures (Only Available for Students Enrolled for Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Programs)

To aid children in their journey to achieve academic success, GrowEdd also offers the facility of recording online lectures. The recorded lectures will be uploaded to Youtube after the completion of the class. Children can view the recordings at their convenience.

At present, we are only able to record and upload lectures where the child is unable to attend class or is facing connectivity issues. Children would have to request the instructor to record the lecture.

To ensure the security of our course content, the learners will only be able to access the recorded lectures through Youtube by using it with the email ids registered with GrowEdd.

Children who wish to access the recorded can lectures can do so using the two methods given below:

  • Using Coaching Session Summary Report: If the lecture has been recorded, the web link to the recorded lecture is included in the coaching session summary report. Children can click on the weblink and watch the video on Youtube.
  • Using the Email sent by Youtube: Once the recorded lecture is uploaded on Youtube and shared with the students using the email address registered with GroEdd.  They shall automatically receive an email from Youtube. The children can access the recorded lecture by clicking on the thumbnail of the video in the email.
Please note the Youtube Videos are shared with the email address registered with GroEdd. You are required to ensure that you are using Youtube with email address registered with GroEdd.

Lectures will be available within 12-72 hours after the completion of the coaching session.

If you are unable to access the recorded lectures, it could be due to the two reasons mentioned below:

  • Expired Video Recording: All recorded lectures are available for viewing for a period of 15 days after the particular coaching session has been completed. If you are unable to view the recording, you are requested to contact the instructor of the course.
  • Using an email address not registered with GroEdd: This is one of the common reasons for the inability to access the videos. Children are requested to log into youtube with the email address registered with GroEdd.

About our various ways to keep parents updated about the progress of the child

  • Parents, as well as children, can be updated about the curriculum done in class through the coaching session summary.
  • The summary includes details about the curriculum covered, homework assigned, URL of the recorded lecture (if any) and details about additional coaching minutes.
  • These summaries are sent after the coaching session
  • The support desk frequently sends reminders about any homework due.
  • Parents & students can also check Google Classroom to know all the homework.
  • These reminders are sent one day before the submission deadline.
  • We believe assessments are integral to the academic success of a child.
  • At GroEdd we are constantly finetuning our online assessment to make them less monotonous, engaging and challenging.
  • Assessment alerts are sent a few days before the scheduled assessment.

The pre-exam feedback call is aimed at appraising the parents about the child progress (throughout the term or semester) and the possible areas of improvement to ensure a good score.

Quarterly Calls are aimed at discussing the child’s strengths & weaknesses and also drafting an action plan to overcome the skill gaps

Performance Feedback Sessions (PFS) (Only for Select Programs)

Performance Feedback Sessions (PFS) are special interactive sessions designed with the aim to take a deeper dive into the child’s performance in an assessment in school.

A PFS session is usually scheduled by the instructor after the child has received the scores of an assessment in school. In the PFS session, the parent, student and teacher take a deeper look at the child’s performance in a recent examination to gain a deep insight into the errors caused by the child, and the possible reasons. These sessions usually conclude by devising an action plan for each child.

Performance Feedback Sessions (PFS) sessions are scheduled by the instructor after the child has received the marks for assessment conducted in school. These sessions are scheduled at a time convenient to the parent as well as the instructor. The sessions are about 30-45 min long.

Please note PFS is only held for final/ semester/ term-end examinations.

In line with our open communication & feedback policy, we encourage parents to schedule a PFS.
